The Primary Section, which comprises classes KG to IV, start from 6.50 a.m. and continues till 10.35 a.m. Dealing with the children of the primary classes, specially the KG students had been quite a challenging task for the school staff. Providing them the guidance to grow up as well-mannered individuals from the grass-root level, is quite a task to carry out in the initial level of development of a child. But, to our greatest satisfaction, the school has been able to provide professionally qualified and competent teachers to be able to handle students of such tender age quite successfully. Besides providing them the basic education, essential for knowledge and learning, the teachers of the primary section are equally competent in imparting to them the basic classroom etiquettes and discipline, thereby helping them to maintain classroom decorum. Utilising the most modern and effective teaching methods, the teachers of the junior classes always make it a point to make learning easier and interesting. Moreover, the teachers attend to the children’s needs in a most responsible way thereby paving a way for a healthy environment to ensure all-round development of a child.

Message of Headmistress

Beyond academics is what we strive for at the Primary Section of St. Michael’s Academy. It is the child’s formative years which we try to understand and mould in the Primary Section. The delicate handling of the little-ones is what our teachers specialize in. Mere chalk and talk is commonplace but to go beyond, go into the minds of the tiny tots, try to discover their special interests, delve into their family backgrounds, be a parent and a friend to them is what we specialize in.

Through co-curricular activities we try to rouse the spirit of healthy competition, which are held all year round. These help the students to showcase their developing skills and talents at an early stage. This also makes school an interesting place which, in the long run, helps them to take keen interest in their studies.
